Hello.. 😊
On this post, I will share about the laboratory school which is still a part of Benguet State University. The BSU has two laboratory schools, the elementary laboratory school (ELS) and the secondary laboratory school (SLS). Both of these were connected with the College of Teacher's Education of BSU. The school that I have been practicing is on the BSU-secondary laboratory school (SLS), which is the continuation study for the student after they graduated from BSU-elementary laboratory school (ELS).

After that, some students use rest of the afternoon is for co-curricular activities.
Materials and Other Learning Resources
The materials used for study are mostly form the book or monthly magazine. Some teachers also make their own module and share it to the students. The materials and learning resources both written in English and Tagalog. The government also provided the learning resources for the students in their website (https://lrmds.deped.gov.ph/).

In regards to measurement and evaluation system of the students, the teachers follow the Department of Education system but they have their unique way of giving grades as well. The students' performance is with the highest in percentage since it focuses on student centered learning.
Curriculum
The BSU-SLS use the Department of Education K-12 curriculum in
teaching. K-12 is an educational system from United States
that covers the education from kindergarten (K) and 12 years of basic education
(six years of primary/elementary education, four years of junior high school,
and two years of senior high school). The goal of the implementation of K-12 is
ti create a functional basic education system that will produce productive and
responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies and skills for
both life – learning and employment.

The BSU-SLS teachers still have their own discretion on the lessons. They might follow it strictly, revise it or modify it to attain the target lessons per quarter.
Other Information
The BSU-SLS is also supporting the students’ interest. So they prepare some facilities for the student to practice with the other students in the same interest, as an activity after class.

The BSU-Secondary Laboratory School also support students who have talent. Some talents that usually needed for the championship are sport and material art. Last year, on 27 September 2017, the student of BSU - Secondary Laboratory School won a world material art competition in Korea.
The teacher in the BSU-Secondary Laboratory School Is very
responsible to their duty on teaching. They do make lesson plan every day for
the different subject for the different class. Ma’am Imee Cuadra as my mentor
teacher in SLS always said to me that in making a lesson plan, should be
reflected from the students characteristic. For example, for the seven grade
students, they still a kid and not really like to think very hard. They likes
to play a games, because they are still a kid. That’s why the lesson plan for seven
grade is better to include some games to make them learn happily.
