Learning Competency: The learner would be able to know the concept in studying the Southeast Asian Countries

I.             Objectives
               At the end of the lesson, the students should have be able to:
a.    Enumerate Southeast Asia countries;
b.    Describe the flags of Southeast Asia countries; and
c.    Compare the culture, places and geography, climates, etc. in Southeast Asia

Check the attendance, cleanliness of the classroom, and proper seating arrangement of the students (Collect the assignments if there are any).

Ask the students about the countries located in Central Asia.

Present the Picture of flags, places and geography, climate, culture and religion through Power Point presentation.

Jigsaw Method


1.    Start the activity by dividing the class into 5 groups 

2.    Appoint one student from each group as the leader.

3.    Each group will have a country to discuss for their first group among themselves within 5 minutes.

4.    The teacher divide the day’s lesson into 5 segments such as country flag, places and geography, climate,  culture, etc

5.    Assign each student to learn one segment.

6.    Give the students time to read over their segment at least twice and become familiar with it.

7.    Form temporary “expert groups” by having one student from each jigsaw group join other students assigned to the same segment. (Give students in these expert groups time to discuss the main points of their segment and to rehearse the presentations they will make to their jigsaw group).

8.    Bring the students back into their jigsaw groups.

9.    Ask each student to present her or his segment to the group.

10. At the end of the session, give a quiz on the material.

The Southeast Asian countries have diversity in language, culture, traditions but these ones makes them unique. The differences of each country does not quantify on the brotherhood that is bond to them.
